Tonight is Gator Growl and the Florida Gator football team is getting pump up to play the upstart Vanderbilt Commodores. Vandy always plays the Gators tough. The Gators are favored by 14 or 16 points, but I really don’t see them winning by that much considering how banged up and poor the defense is playing.
Vandy has a tough defense and Tebow isn’t 100%. That doesn’t mean Tebow will play poorly, it just means he needs to be smarter with the ball. We’ve seen how a bum shoulder has affected Tebow. He simply can’t run the ball right now. It’s time for Tebow to unleash the ball and become a pocket passer. We all know Tebow can launch the ball, it’s time to open the playbook and let him do it.
If the Gators find themselves in a position where they need to run the ball, then bring in Cam Newton for a play or two to spell Tebow. Cam is very big and fast, there’s no reason why he can’t come in to make a few plays a game.
Tebow has been dropping in the Heisman running because of the losses, but he still has some of the best stats of any QB in the country. The right this ship, Tebow will need to put up some gawdy numbers. I’m thinking 300 yards passing and 4 touchdowns.
