Last night on ESPN many of you may have watched the college football awards. Tim Tebow beat out guys like Dixon and McFadden to win the Maxwell Award, which is given to the nation’s best all-around player. Tebow also captured the O’Brien Award, which is given to the nation’s best college quarterback.
I think it’s interesting though that none of the last seven Maxwell Award winners have gone on to win the Heisman (announced tomorrow night). That just means there is another ‘rule’ Tebow will have to break.
When asked about how he felt after winning the Awards last night, Tebow responded, “I just want to thank my teammates and all the seniors back in Gainesville. I’m just glad to be a Gator.”
Regardless of if he wins the Heisman or not, Tebow had an outstanding year. One of the best single seasons a Gator has ever put together. We at TebowZone want to congratulate Timmy for his hard work, success, and recent awards.
