After watching the pitiful Florida Gators men’s basketball team fail in the SEC Tournament and ultimately not get a bid to the NCAA Tournament, one has to wonder… Can Tim Tebow play basketball?
He wouldn’t be the tallest guy on the court, but I bet Timmy could run the floor and play defense with the best of them. No one’s going to muscle him down for a rebound either.
I think Billy Donovan should petition to Urban Meyer about having Tebow try out for the basketball team next season. Even if he just came in to do the dirty work, you know the O’Dome would be packed! Tebow would draw a crowd and give this team some national media coverage. I think they might even win 25+ games with Tim on the team.

Tebow ain’t gonna cut it in basketball. He’s a power forward in a point guard’s body.
Besides, he’d be double-dipping with two scholarships.
Why not.. CI played both sports.
But Cornelius Ingram was a 6.5-ft tall small forward whose skills complemented the tight end position.
Tebow is too short to be an effective rebounder in college/the NBA.

That Bama/Florida game was the WORST game of gator basketball I have ever seen. Hopefully they’ll do better next year… I think Timmy could play basketball. He’s a little short, but so is Jai Lucas and he’s done pretty well so far.
