Joe Cowart broke some news on his radio show this morning in Jacksonville that Tim Tebow may be staying at UF all four years. It’s been widely expected by people close to the Gators that Tebow would in fact stay through his senior year, but all the “draft experts” think he is coming out after his junior year.
At an FCA meeting (last night I think), Tebow and his family were there giving speeches and talking to the members and kids. Tebow allegedly said something like “I want to bring 3 National Championships to Gainesville.” If you read between the lines, he is suggesting that he will stay through his senior year… that is the only way he could get 3 rings since he didn’t get one last season.
It would be awesome for the Gators if Tim Tebow decides to stay all four years. It might piss of Newton or Brantly, but that’s their problem. Tebow is a huge asset to this team and the community. The longer he stays here, the better.

I thought it would be a good idea to post some of the questions we receive about Tim Tebow here at Tebow Zone. This way all the fans can benefit from the answers. I don’t claim to be Tim Tebow, or even know Tim Tebow… I am just a UF Alum and big fan of Tebow and the Florida Gators.
Today’s question comes from Michael in Miami, FL.
Some people say that Tim Tebow stated that he would not go to the NFL because he wants to work in the church. Is this true?
I’m not sure who is saying this, but I would say with 99.9% positivity that Tim Tebow will enter the NFL Draft in 2009 or 2010 and join an NFL Roster. While Tim Tebow is a follower of Christ and does a lot of work for the Church, he realizes that God gave him the talent to play football at a high level. Tim uses football as a means to help others (like the charity powder puff game he organized for charity).
The years an athlete can play a sport at a professional level are very limited, and you have to take advantage of it if given the opportunity. It is very possible that some day after football that Tim Tebow will work with his Church and do missionary work just like his mentor/friend Danny Wuerffel. But you can say with certainty that Tim Tebow will go to the NFL after his college career.
