From time to time (especially during the slow off season), we like to share some of the Tim Tebow stories and fan mail we get. Today’s post comes from a young girl who is a big time Gator fan and admirer of Tim Tebow. Like always, to protect the identity of the fan, I have changed her name.
Hi my name is Lisa and I am 13 and am a huge Gator fan!! I love football and everything about it. But I especially love YOU! I am a big fan and wish just one day I could meet you. You have no idea how much I admire you and how much you inspire me
You are a very nice young man and a great football player. I went to the first game last year and during the gator walk I saw you and you gave me a high five it made my day

Awww! That’s so sweet Lisa! You totally hit the nail on the head with that “letter”. But, as Linzy said, we got dibs first! lol. But of course it’s Tim’s descision and the likelyhood of him picking any of us is 1 in a million. But hey, 1 in a million is better than no chance at all right? (BTW Lisa, I wish I could meet him, too)
Ummmmm, I’m not liking where this dialogue is going.
You two seem awfully intent on having some sort of relationship with Tim. Trust me on this one, guys generally respond to in one of two ways.
1: They shy away from you because aggressiveness is a “masculine” tendency.
2: They, um, well, you get the idea.
I say this not as a Tebow-hater, but as a casual observer. Trust me, I’d say the same thing regardless of weather it was Tim or the guy across the street.
You’re entitled to your opinions. But, as I’ve said before, I have First Amendment rights, and I’m not afraid to use them.
