Tim Tebow will play in his final SEC regular season tomorrow when the Florida Gators travel to Columbia, South Carolina to play Steve Spurrier’s Gamecocks. “It’s cool,” said Tebow, “It’s the last SEC game and it’s vs. coach Spurrier, who’s done so much for the SEC, changed the SEC in a lot of different ways.” The Gators are heavily favored going into the game, but don’t be surprised if it’s a lot closer.
Tim Tebow has historically played very well against the Gamecocks. In 2007, he scored 7 total touchdowns in a Gator rout, then last year he scored 3 touchdowns. I’m not all too concerned with the stats, so even if Tim only scores 1 touchown tomorrow and the Gators still win – it’s all good. Tebow’s goal coming into his senior season was to go undefeated. That is his goal – not putting up monster stats.
Tim Tebow has struggled some this season with the interceptions, but I put a lot of that blame on the WRs not getting open and the offensive line not protecting him. South Carlina has a pretty good defense. They can rush the passer and cover defense. I hate to say this, but I think Tim will throw one or two interceptions – but will counter that with 4 total touchdowns: 2 rushing, 2 passing. I see a final score of Florida 31 South Carolina 10.
