The Wonderful World of Tim Tebow

I added the Tim Tebow Theme Song to this site. It’s in the sidebar at the very top. Just push play and listen.

Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators return home this weekend to play a struggling Auburn Tigers team. It’s no secret that the Tigers are in a slump, and looking to break it with a huge victory over the Gators. Let’s not forget, Auburn is the only team that defeated the Gators last season.

Tebow has got to carry the ball less this weekend. I love how Tebow puts the games on his shoulder and takes over, but he needs to be careful. We can’t afford a sore Tebow for LSU in 2 weeks. Oh, who am I kidding…Tebow doesn’t get sore… he makes other people sore.

It’s important not to over-look Auburn. They’ll give the gators a tough match. Tebow needs to be sharp and accurate. He needs to spread the ball to different receivers to keep the DBs on their toes.

If you want to chat more about the game, head over to Tebow’s favorite Florida Gators forum.

According to SI, there’s a new #1 candidate for the Heisman trophy. Our boy Timmy Tebow! Here’s what they had to say:

He’s versatile. He’s tough. And now he’s No. 1. Think about this: On Saturday he almost matched the rushing yardage of Arkansas’ Darren McFadden (173) and the passing yardage of Kentucky’s Andre’ Woodson (265). Most impressively though, when the Gators needed to run out the clock against the Rebels, it was Tebow pounding the line with 12 carries in Florida’s final two possessions.

No Freshman or Sophomore has ever won a Heisman trophy. Could this be the first year?

Monday, Tim Tebow was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Gators’ 30-24 win at Mississippi on Saturday.

We all know Tebow played a hell of a game on Saturday. Timmy had career-highs in completions (20), attempts (34) and rushing attempts. The 427 yards of total offense is the best in the SEC this season. He rushed for 166 yards and threw for 261 with a total of 4 offensive touchdowns.

Tim Tebow carried the load on Saturday against the Ole Miss Rebels. Tebow accounts for 427 total yards (261 in the air and 166 on the ground). That’s more yards then the entire Ole Miss team. Tebow really put the team on his shoulders this week. In addition to 400+ total yards, he also had 4 touchdowns. He really is Superman.

During the game I was a bit concerned about how many carries Tebow was getting. But the plays seemed to be working, and Meyer kept with it to ensure a victory. I hope we don’t have to see Tebow pound the ball like that against LSU. I think we’re starting to see how much the Gators need Caldwell in the lineup.

Tebow played so awesome on Saturday that USA Today nominated him for Player of the Week. Cast your vote for free. Vote Tebow for Player of the Week.

Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators are headed to Oxford, MS this weekend to face the Ole Miss Rebels in a Saturday morning showdown. The early 11:30 kickoff time won’t effect Tebow. This guy could stay up all night, down some Red Bull and truck a few linebackers on the way to the 50 yard line.

Tebow is poised for another big game. He’s slowly creeping his way into the Heisman discussions. A big win here with huge stats will help his cause.

I’m predicting 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing and 4 total touchdowns for Tebow.

I never thought I’d see a performance quite like that against Tennessee. Tim Tebow and the Gators dropped 59 on Tennessee in the Swamp Saturday. Tebow was 14 of 19 for 299 yards, 2 passing touchdowns and 1 interception. He also rushed for 61 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Tebow played very well. The one interception he threw wasn’t even his fault.  The WR didn’t cut in far enough on his route to block the cornerback. The announcers kept bitchin’ about how Meyer let Tebow play deep into the 4th quarter when the game was out of reach. It’s all about style points. Meyer sees other big time colleges putting up nasty amounts of points on opponents and feel he is forced to do the same. This year he shouldn’t have to lobby for a BCS Championship birth if we have the record to back it up.

Tebow was very impressive in his first performance against a ranked opponent. It’s a great confidence booster for him.

The Tennessee Volunteers are going to bring a lot of heat on Tim Tebow. They’ll blitz often and hard. One thing I’m looking for in this game is how well Tebow reacts to the blitz. This will be his first big matchup against a ranked defense.

Will he pick up the blitz and hit the hot route? Or will he roll to the left and run the ball.

I’m quite confident Tebow knows how the handle the situation and won’t be affected at all the the QB pressure Tennessee brings.

Tebow can really prove his worth to the Gators with a winning performance this weekend against Tennessee. Can you believe there are still critics out there that doubt Tebow?

Last year, Tebow broke out against Tennessee. When Leak was sliding 1 yard short of a first down, Tebow was muscling his way over linebackers on 4th down. Tebow saved Leak’s ass that game.

It’s only fitting that he bust out for a Heisman-like performance against Tennessee this year in The Swamp. The Gators are only favored by 8, but I’d like to see Tebow light it up for 14 or more over the Vols.

It was easy to predict a Gator victory over the Troy Trojans, however, it would have been a little harder to predict Tim Tebow to lead the Gators in passing and rushing. Tebow’s always been a duel threat QB, but Saturday he took that term to a new level. Timmy rushed 17 times for 93 yards and two touchdowns.  Wow!

Not only were his rushing stats amazing, but his passing stats were too. Tebow completed 18 passes for 236 yards and 3 touchdowns. If he keeps hogging all the Gator touchdowns, the AP won’t have any choice but to give him the Heisman.
