Tim Tebow Zone

The Jaguars are big fans of drafting Gator players and acquiring them in free agency and trades. The Jags have recently drafted Reggie Nelson and Derrick Harvey in the previous two NFL Drafts. They also have greats like Fred Taylor and Mike Peterson, and have been rumored to be looking for a trade with Philadelphia for Lito Sheppard. The Jacksonville Jaguars seems like the perfect fit for Tim Tebow.

Tim Tebow should stay at Florida for 4 years, that puts him in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Jags just inked David Garrard to a new deal, so they won’t be looking for an immediate starter. If Jacksonville, Tebow’s home town, selected Timmy in the first round of the 2010 draft, then coached him up for 2 years on the sideline… they would be ready to rock Tebow as a starter in 2012. That gives Garrard plenty of time to be the starter and to develop Tebow. Garrard would be like 35 years old by then.

How awesome would it be for Tim Tebow to play football in front of his hometown Jags in Jacksonville, only 75 miles from Gainesville? I know it’s still a few years away, but a kid can dream right?

Tebowmaniacs, myself included, worship the ground Tim Tebow walks on. The man can’t do anything wrong in our eyes. His tears can cure cancer (too bad he never cries) and he kills terrorists for Show and Tell. But how would he fair tackling some of today’s biggest issues?

If Tebow actually drove a car (I heard he gets around by flying), he could lower all our gas prices? Tebow can drill for oil in the Alaskan wildlife forests and can open new refineries in the Gulf of Mexico.

Tim Tebow can solve the United State border issues by stiff arming every illegal immigrant that crosses the border.

The United States should start printing new money with Tim Tebow’s face on the bill. New Tebow dollars would surely get the economy back on it’s feet.

If only Tebow were so tied up with making A’s in school and participating in football practice, he would have the time to help save our country. Until then, we’ll just have to be happy with what we can get…. a badass QB.

The other day we posted about looking for new Tim Tebow Facts and asking fans what some of their favorites are. Well, our buddy Vincent has submitted dozens of new custom-made facts that you need to check out.

There really isn’t much else for us to blog about today. With spring practice over and summer conditioning still a couple months away it will be a slow time here.

University of Florida Quarterback Tim Tebow met with the Senate this morning. No it wasn’t about steroid allegations. They called Timmy in to award him the Medallion of Excellence for his achievements off the field. It’s the highest honor given by the chamber.

Sen. Jim Wise of Jacksonville said, “What a guy,” while wearing a blue baseball cap with a Superman shield with a “T” on it instead of an “S.” I’m not sure if Senator Wise is impressed with Tebow’s on the field production, his 3.7 GPA, or his missionary work. What’s not to love?

Tim was humble the entire time. “Wow, it’s an honor to be here…. To meet all of you, it’s a dream come true,” he said. And what’s great, is you know Tebow means every word of it. He knows where he came from and what his purpose is. “Football is a means to an end, and that ends for me is to be a role model.”

One of the main attractions of this Tim Tebow fan site are the Tebow Facts. We’ve compiled a long list of funny, yet true, facts about Tim Tebow. A lot of them were created to poke fun at Tebow’s awesomeness. I think my favorite fun fact is “If you wake up in the morning, it’s because Tim Tebow spared your life.” Or maybe “Tim Tebow can get McDonald’s breakfast after 10:30.”

These Tim Tebow Facts are often called Tebowisms too. They’ve been made up by Gator fans since the day Tim Tebow announced his intent to play for the University of Florida. And what’s great is Timmy is aware of the facts and has even said in interviews which ones are his favorite.

Over the past couple of months, we have added several new facts to our list. I want to encourage all the Tebow fans reading this blog post to contribute more facts. You can either post them as a comment, or email them to us. We’ll be sure to add your comment to the list (so long as it is family friendly). If you can’t think of any on your own, then please share with us your favorite fact.

Scout.com released their list of the 2008 Heisman Trophy Contenders. Guess who is number 1 on that list? Tim Tebow! Was there any doubt? I don’t completely agree with their list. I would have ranked Knowshon Moreno and Percy Harvin (who is absent from the list) in the top 10. Here is what they had to say about the top 4… who all happen to be quarterbacks.

4. Chase Daniel, QB Missouri
The new star on the national scene, he had the Heisman won, or at least he would’ve finished second, if he had pulled off a great game in the Big 12 Championship against Oklahoma. He won’t have all the same weapons around him next year, but he’ll be an experienced triggerman who should put up the numbers to be in the chase again.

3. Sam Bradford, QB Oklahoma
Ignored in the Heisman race as a freshman, Bradford deserved more love as the nation’s most efficient passer. He won’t have Malcolm Kelly, who’s certain to be off early to the NFL, to throw to, and he could also lose Juaquin Iglesias, but he’ll still have a great line to work behind. It’s OU. There will always be elite receivers ready to step in.

2. Pat White, QB West Virginia
Assuming Steve Slaton bolts early for the big league, White will be the signature star of one of a national title contender. The question will be his durability after getting knocked out in the losses to Pitt and South Florida, but when he’s on, he’s as breathtaking as any runner in America. He’ll also have a devastating array of receiver weapons to work with.

1. Tim Tebow, QB Florida
Tebow is becoming an all-timer of a superstar as Superman will be the unquestioned leader of the likely preseason No. 1 team. It’ll be interesting to see how he matures and grows as a quarterback with far more help to carry the workload; he won’t have the same numbers since he won’t have to do it all himself. USC transfer Emmanuel Moody will be certain to take away touchdown runs, but that could mean Tebow turns into an even more devastating passer. The Heisman will be his for the taking.

Tim Tebow is the big man on campus at the University of Florida. There isn’t a woman out there that wouldn’t want to date him. A Heisman winning quarterback with a 3.7 GPA and a relationship with God… what’s not to love?

Over the past year or so, there have been many pictures of Tebow taken with some attractice women. Are any of them his girlfriend? It’s hard to say. Only those close to Tim would know. I thought it would be fun to post a couple of the Tim Tebow Girlfriend candidates and see which one all of you like the best.

This girl has been Tebow’s most popular candidate. Images of them floated around the internet a year ago like wild fires. This girl actually does modeling and you can find more pictures of her on the internet. I don’t believe she was ever Tim’s girlfriend… but who knows?

The Florida Gator Spring Orange and Blue game was held on Saturday. The game featured Tim Tebow and all the Gator stars, except Percy Harvin who is still recovering from his heel surgery. The game was nationally televised on ESPN 2. That’s big-time exposure for a team vying for that #1 preseason ranking.

Unfortunately, I am out of town the entire week and was not able to see the Spring Game. So, I can’t give you a personal recap of what I saw. Instead of reading a Tebow update here, you need to head over to the Gator Envy Forums and you will read several threads on the Spring game and what happened. The people on Gator Envy are very knowledgable and will help you if you have any questions about the game.

The Florida Gators take the field in Gainesville this afternoon for the annual spring Orange and Blue game. Tim Tebow will be playing and you can count on him putting up some decent numbers.

There was a lot of talk this week about whether or not Tim Tebow should even play in the game. Why risk getting him hurt you know? Well, Meyer has a lot of things Tim needs to work on, such as the 2 minute drill and getting the ball off when being pressured. Rest assure though that Urban will be standing behind Tim Tebow the entire game to make sure no one hits him. Tim will be wearing a red shirt and Meyer will have the whistle in his mouth ready to blow a play dead befpre anyone touches Tim.

The ORange and Blue game is on ESPN this afternoon at 12:00 or 1:00. College gameday is on ESPN2 from 11:00-12:00. Be sure to check it out at the beginning and you know you’ll get to see Tebow in action.
